Draft Gelding for Sale in Greenfield, MO

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 7/29 @ 4:30 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit. Joey Flashy! Tri-color paint and roan; SUPER Cute with a ton of personality! 8 yr old draft X gelding, stands 15 + hh, he is stout made enough that even a larger rider will feel comfortable on him. Loves attention but never pushy; Gentle to work with, polite ground manners. Wears horse boots, bathes, loads, and hauls, no issues. Flexes, side passes to open gates, backs, takes both leads. Rides bareback in a halter and double. Comes over to a fence, stump, or rock to pick up a rider. Great on the trails and down busy highways… Is totally traffic safe, riding and driving. (Amish started; he was mainly driven in a team.) Ride alone or with others. Good in hills, rough country, and tight places. Crosses water, logs & bridges, even happily swims! Pushed cows, rides safely through pastures with strange herds. Stays calm and unflappable if loose horses go running and bucking around him, ponies other horses. He gets along well with other horses, in the middle-of-the-herd pecking order. He has a lot of coordination and responsiveness and easily lopes a small circle: he could be a fun gymkhana horse. (Not baby-sitter deadbeat, but appropriate ‘husband horse’ for a moderately energetic rider) Feel free to call with any questions!

About Greenfield, MO

Greenfield was laid out in 1841, and named for the greenery of the original town site. A post office called Greenfield has been in operation since 1850. The Greenfield Opera House Building, which opened in 1888, is known as the "Jewel of the Square" and is still used for the summer productions of the Dade County Community Theater.
