SAFE ENOUGH FOR ANYONE* If you are looking for a flashy, gentle, and versatile horse, Spavaldo is the guy for you! At 17.2 hands, he is all you could want for a hunter under saddle, equitation, western pleasure, or just for the enjoyment of riding trails. He has been shown both English and Western; his tail is still prepped for a show tail. This horse is special…he knows the difference between tack! Ride him English, Western or bareback, he does it all! Dress him in English, and he is ready to ride as an English horse, or dress him Western, and he will ride around in a Western style. Spavaldo has moved cows, crossed water and bridges, and seen the sights of trails with no spook and an easygoing attitude. He is a point-and-shoot jumper and could pack green riders who want to learn the ropes of horse showing and riding. He bridles beautifully in the arena and has been ridden in the mountains on rough terrain. He rides out alone, does well with time off, and has been used to teach lessons. Spavaldo is in your pocket and easy to catch, hauls like a gentleman, and backs out of the trailer as one should. He is good for the farrier, has lovely ground manners all around, and is a friendly guy who wants to be your friend. Come check this special guy out! Thank you in advance from TotonkaTrailEquine. We look forward to everyone’s calls and meeting you. We will return your call if you leave us a text message. No voicemail! Shipping can be arranged anywhere in the States or internationally. Payment is expected the next business day by noon via wire transfer. Thank you again from TotonkaTrailEquine.

About Laporte, CO

The town was first settled by French-Canadian fur trappers and mountain men. It was the gateway to all the mountainous region lying north of the South Platte River and extending from the Plains to the Continental Divide. The trappers built cabins here along the Cache la Poudre River as early as 1828, making it the first white settlement in Larimer County. According to legend, a group of fur traders had earlier stashed supplies (including gunpowder) in a cache along the river near Laporte, and that is how the river got its name. It became the home of Antoine Janis in 1844, who is often noted as the first permanent white settler north of the Arkansas River.
