Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Montgomery, TX

Chongo is a handsome gray ranch gelding that anyone can ride. He has been used on a ranch to doctor cattle, sort, pairs, push cattle onto trailers, check on cattle, and ride the fence line. He rides with a loose one-hand neck rein, a great backup, stop and he will ride off leg pressure. He is very smooth at the walk, trot, and canter. He is used to our trails and obstacle courses, walks over wooden bridges, pushes swinging pipes, rides over plastic bottles, walks up/down steps, and teeter-totters. He has been ridden around the barrel pattern in the arena. He will let you carry a flag, open and close gates off of him, he has no problem walking across water/mud, down streams, through thick brush, he'll go up/down/across deep ditches and ravines, over fallen trees, through the woods with no spook. He is kid and dog-friendly, has great ground manners, is easy to catch, and gets along with our other horses, mares, and gelding alike. Chongo has great ground manners and is kid and dog friendly. He stands very well for being saddled and bridled, bathed, and groomed, while being sprayed for flies, for picking his feet, standing tied and in cross ties, for being mounted (from the ground or a mounting block), and for the vet/farrier (he just had his feet trimmed). He loads and hauls very well. He is the type of horse that you can ride every day, once a week, or once a month, and he will ride the same. Chongo will be a great prospect for; trail riding, playdays, barrels, poles, goat tying, ranch sorting, team penning, little britches, drill team, parades, grand entry, trail horse competitions, polo, western pleasure, walk-trot, lead line, a lesson horse, English, or just a great all around family horse. Chongo is a well made gelding with a refined head, a handsome face, a kind eye, with a strong thick neck and shoulder, a straight back, good withers with a wide chest and hip. He is very sweet and would be perfect for a child or an adult learning any equine sport you'd like. He is young but rides like a much older horse. Don't miss out on this handsome guy!!! He sells sound, sane, and safe. Please no outside trades, deposits, or payment plans.
