Tennessee Walking Horse

Barnabas is a 16 year old Chestnut Tennessee Walking Gelding. He stands at 16.2 hands. He is registered. The place I bought him from used him for trail riding, he did not do well with having multiple kids riding him they described him as a "one person horse". They couldn't use him for trail riding because he refuses to go forward. I have been working on this with him and he is better with a crop. He needs consistent work. When on cross ties he paws, he has some problems with picking up his feet, but is great for the farrier. Very impatient at the mounting block. He does nip when mounting and occasionally tries when you walk in front of him. He's perfect when dismounting. He has been turned out with other horses and did amazing. No buck, rear, kick while under saddle. He has kicked while on cross ties. I think he could make a great horse with the right EXPERIENCED person, I am unfortunately just not experienced enough to help with any of these problems. A good home is a must!
