Adorable TB Gelding

Ivan would love to be the gift under your Christmas tree! Ivan, JC: Idolatry, is an eye catching 2007 16+hh chestnut gelding with low mileage. Clean legs, no vices. He had been lightly restarted after coming off of the track and then sat for a bit due to no fault of his own. He likes consistent work and could really go in any direction. He lunges and has been a quick study with groundwork (backing, leg yielding, turn on the forehand, etc). He is a forward but not “hot” ride and has not offered any buck, bolt, or spook while in training. He goes in a happy mouth and prefers a calm, confident rider with soft hands. Under saddle he’s been mostly walking and trotting to build strength. We have started to add in canter as he gets stronger and he has been started over cross-rails which he willingly trots over. He has hacked out around the farm and free jumped with lots of scope. He genuinely wants to please and has talent, he just needs miles and a consistent program. He leads well, ties (single and cross-ties), stands for grooming and bathing, and stands for the vet and farrier. Ivan currently lives out 24/7 and has front shoes, but has excellent feet and could probably go barefoot with no issue. He’s up to date on everything (vet, farrier, and dental).
