Thoroughbred Mare for Sale in Mission Viejo, CA

This 5 yr old Mare is a stunner. She has been training the last 7 months under saddle (both English & western) mainly as a English hunter/jumper. She is still green & needs more training. She trots, canters, jumps, been on trails, runs barrels for fun, stands well, is barefooted, is good with ferrier who says she has great feet, loves water, will pick up hooves, loves attention, is social, more whoa then go. She is still green, not trailer trained and has shown aggression while on the longe line. She needs an experienced trainer and an advanced rider. We bought her for my 11 yr old and although she rides her well, we are beginners and This mare needs experienced owners. She is a great prospect project of a horse.

About Mission Viejo, CA

Mission Viejo was purchased by John Forster, also known as "Don Juan," an Englishman by birth who became a Mexican citizen. During the Mexican–American War, Forster provided fresh horses to United States military forces which were used on the march of San Diego to invade Los Angeles. Mission Viejo was a hilly region primarily used as cattle and sheep grazing land, since it was of little use to farmers. This city was one of the last regions of Orange County to be urbanized due to its geologic complexity. In 1960, early developers dismissed most of the land in Mission Viejo as simply "undevelopable".
