Paint Gelding for Sale in Fillmore, MO

this colt is very respectful on the ground and in the saddle. he listens well to leg cues. he’s soft in the bridle and been working really good with me. he has a slow walk trot and canter. i ride him every day whether it’s a long trail ride on the road, pasture or feild, or groundwork in the pen. a do a lot of loping down the road and put a lot of miles on his feet. i ride him in a basic snaffle bit and he does great with it I always start colts in a hackamore then move on to a bit . he’s 15hh and isn’t done growing. He will be three this spring. he goes when u want him to and has light controls. stops fast. listens well. rides relaxed. i open gates off of him everyday, throw ropes off of him, slide off the back of him etc he’s a very calm horse. he’s a lot lighter, responsive, and relaxed than a lot of older horses i’ve road. he honestly acts like he’s an old kids broke pony. he loads great jumps right in the trailer and stands tied for long periods of time he is good with his feet and has good manors. i trained him with the downunder horsemanship method and been through all the fundamentals and some of the intermediate kit. ive been doing this sense spring so he is very used to ropes, whips smacking the ground all around him, ropes in the air, sliding off the back of him, moving all parts of his body when i tell him to, backing out of my space, being respectful but not fearful. i’ve done a lot of this in the saddle as well. i will continue his training every day until someone buys him. i’m selling him because i break horses and sell them. i will not hold him for anyone and i wasn’t in a rush to sell him because he’s a great horse and i enjoy riding him and also can use him to pony other horses. he moves out when u want him to and he stays in the same gate you asked him to be in. he doesn’t take off without u asking and he doesn’t slow down and act lazy. he doesn’t walk off whenever you get on him. i ride him alone usually and i never have problems with him being barn sour. he backs up off light pressure of the bridle. he bends and softens in all gates. he yeilds his hindquarters in the saddle and on ground and will move his front end over off leg pressure also. he stops off of the seat of the rider. and i got him dropping his head and giving back when you stop, back up and walk. ive been working on putting a bunch of miles on his feet and teaching him to bend vertically to the bridle, get better controls of each part of his body, do rollbacks, and get more responsive and soft every day. i can lay him down and he will go through water, over bridges etc. not scared of ropes or plastic bags etc i do a ton of desensitizing with him. if you’re interested TXT or CALL my number eight one six two seven three six two two six or email if you want to see video or more pictures
