Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Grapeland, TX
Tex is a 7 year old grade gelding. He is a part of our main using string and knows what it is to work for a living. Tex is foremost an excellent ranch horse, but he is versatile and excels in many areas. He is an all around ranch and roping horse with a versatile and willing mindset. You can rope either end in the pen on him and he has been hauled. You can rope one outside whether it be to catch and load into the trailer or to doctor. He pulls good and holds a tight rope. Tex will watch a cow and is good to sort and pair on. He will even ride down the trail quietly and babysit the kids after a day at work!
Tex is a good broke gelding with a nice handle. He is easy to get along with and a horse the whole family can do something with. Tex has been used in every type of scenario from a standard day on the ranch to catching cattle in the dark late at night and freezing cold early morning 4am calls that there was a cow on the highway. He has seen it all from wild cattle to gentle cattle and is a good solid gelding to use. He is the point and go type and will cross anything you point his nose at.
In the roping pen Tex is good to rope on both ends. He is going good and has been hauled on both ends. He is good in the box and scores really well. He is solid, honest, and easy to operate. No ducking out, no shorting you, no silliness. Operates the same in any pen.
Tex has a great personality. He is sweet and kind. He is easy to catch even in a large pasture, good for the farrier, ties and hauls well, and is up to date on all routine care.
