Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in West Richland, WA
Ruby is a great horse, always trying to please you.ive had her for about a year now and she has never bucked bite kick or bolt with me she isnt spooky and is very level headed, she is green broke and will need someone to do some groundwork with her,but she is very ridable as she is now.just needs someone to put some miles under the saddle.ruby is good with bathe, trailering ,needs little work on farrier but she will let him do it she just fidgets.she is utd on everything except coggins.she was just at a 6 month check up and vet said she is healthy and perfectly sound farrier tells me she has great feet strong ,has never foundered or colic on me and is easy keeper year round.must sale due to the fact that she is not the right horse for my 13 year old son I am open to trades for something about the same size and abit more experienced. Ruby has a bit to much get up and go in her for my son,I paid 3000 for ruby a year ago for my daughter she has since moved away and doesnt ride anymore so I would like to get my son something more his riding level now that he is showing an interest.
About West Richland, WA
The original people of the region were the Chemnapum Indians (closely related to the Wanapum tribe), living near the mouth of the Yakima River. Lewis and Clark passed through the area in 1805, and an expedition of the Army Corps of Topographical Engineers headed by Robert E Johnson mapped the Yakima Valley in 1841. In 1853, a road was authorized by Congress to pass through the Yakima valley, and passed through present-day West Richland - but settlement did not really begin until the late 1870s. The first schoolhouse was built in 1896 on the Van Horn Property just south of what is now Van Giesen Street. Benton County was created in 1905, Richland was incorporated in 1906, and the West Richland area was known as 'Lower Yakima'.
