Reining Horse

Meet Dixie. She is coming 16 years old, standing 15.1hh with a stocky build. She is very gentle and sweet on the ground, has an in your pocket personality. Loves to be brushed and handled. Has been great for both the vet and farrier. She just loves attention. She is a bit buddy sour because it has just been her and another horse for the last year (easy fix). Handles well outside, but can be stabled. Previously taught in reining (which we have no experience with), and quick enough on her feet to be a games horse. We have gotten her into a spin and backing up, but do not have much of an idea where to go from there. We have ridden her in a pasture, but have not gone out anywhere else at this point. She will ride in a snaffle, but prefers a bitless bridle or hackamore. Very sensitive on cues, and in tune with her rider, so would recommend intermediate to advanced riders. She has plenty of go and a good whoa as well. We are selling because we have gotten out of competing, and this mare is a sure competitor. Negotiable to a good home.
