Quarter Horse Stallion at Stud in Leitchfield, KY
Skips Copy K Shadow - the only "Skipper - bred" stallion to
sire 7 World and 7 Reserve World Champions. He has also sired numerous
AQHA, PHBA, ABRA, IBHA, NSBA and Futurity Champions. He is what is
called a "true breeding horse" meaning that he will improve
any mare he's bred to. He is a true example of the modern Quarter
Horse combining beauty and elegance in a foundation - bred bloodline.
We have no leg, hoof or mouth problems in our herd. These horses are
very user - friendly, supremely athletic, easy to train and eager to
learn, also probably smarter than most of us people. Please feel free
to visit our website at skipperhorses. com and see all the stallions,
meet the mares and take a look at the babies
About Leitchfield, KY
The town was named for Major David Leitch, an aide to Gen. George Washington and the original owner of much land in the county, including the town site, at the eastern end of his holdings. The city was formally incorporated by the state assembly in 1866. Leitchfield lies in the Clifty Area, the sandstone-dominated belt that is usually classified as part of the West Kentucky Coal Field but separates the coalfield from the limestone-rich Pennyroyal Plateau. A fault running through the area puts limestone at or near the surface, and there are quarries west of town.
