Paint Mare for Sale in Jefferson, OR
~Little~ will take you where you want to go! She is a stunning 2003 APHA
B. S. Palomino mare, with four white stockings, a blaze and gorgeous
confirmation. She stands for the farrier, hauls, clips and bathes. She
is approximately 15h, UTD on vaccinations and worming. ~Little~ has
had extensive ground training, lunges and is very good at showmanship;
she won a 1 st at her first show! Not only does she have pleasing gaits
(beautiful extended trot) and athletic ability, she also has the puppy
dog personality to go with it! If you are looking for an all - around
prospect that you can start ~your way~, here she is! Must sell, too many
horses, not enough stalls!

About Jefferson, OR
The first name for this locality was Conser's Ferry, for Jacob S. Conser, an Oregon Trail pioneer of 1848 who ran a ferry across the Santiam River. Conser was also involved in the communities of Syracuse and Santiam City, which was about 2 miles (3 km) downstream of Jefferson. He established the ferry in 1851, and also served as the postmaster of Santiam City. When the Jefferson Institute was established in the vicinity (not the same as the Jefferson Institute in Polk County), the name Jefferson was eventually adopted by the community.
