Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Demopolis, AL

2 year old Reg AQHA Buckskin / Dun Excellent pedigree. Extremely gentle. LOVES! people. Started on barrels / poles, very good pattern, had cows run in front of her and a rope thrown off of her. Would make a really nice youth / adult show horse. She will tie, bathe, clip, load, stall, does NOT crib. Will stand for farrier, no problem. Has been trail ridden, isn't spooky. Has been rode down the side of highway by big trucks and dogs. Crosses bridges, water, logs etc. Does NOT Bite, Kick, Rear, or Buck! ONLY reason I am selling this horse is because I am currently running High School Rodeo on an older mare and don't have time for another horse. All Shots and wormming up to date. Neg. Coggins $4000 Obo. If You have anymore questions or would like to see more pictures, please contact me @ dixie _ angel _ 2***@hotmail. com

About Demopolis, AL

Organizing themselves first in Philadelphia, French expatriates petitioned the U.S. Congress to sell them property for land to colonize. Congress granted approval by an act on March 3, 1817 that allowed them to buy four townships in the Alabama Territory at $2 per acre, with the provision that they cultivate grape vines and olive trees. Following advice obtained from experienced Western pioneers, they determined that Alabama would provide a good climate for cultivating these crops. By July 14, 1817, a small party of pioneers had settled at White Bluff on the Tombigbee River, at the present site of Demopolis, founding the Vine and Olive Colony.
