Thoroughbred Stallion for Sale in Hulmeville, PA
Keno had trouble with someone riding him due to back problems that were later found to be headshake. He cannot be ridden at this time due to bucking, but possibly with the right patient person to find out more about headshake and willing to pursue the prescription cryproheptatdine he might progress. He's smart, can lunge, a great companion and easy keeper. He's barefoot, no supplements or medications, loads, crossties, bathes. We did show him hunter and took him on hunter paces and trail rides, but could not progress with his training. After a nuclear bone scan and full hock xrays came clean, we tried chiropractor / accupuncture with no success. Finally, a dressage trainer diagnosed headshake. We're not willing to go the route of medically treating the condition with no guarantees so looking for a home to take him either as a retired companion or project. ~~
