Friesian Mare for Sale in Roosevelt, OK
This filly is a favorite of ours. First filly out of this Homozygous
APHA mare. She is built exceptionally with a good strong shoulder
and chest , well sprung ribs, great length of shoulder, arm, hip and
leg. Very well muscled built like a colt and should mature with the look
of a stallion. she is a good mover with great cairrage. she will excell
at any discipline. I would love for her to go to a performance home. I
can provide additional photos and MPEG video upon request.
About Roosevelt, OK
According to the Encyclopedia of Oklahoma History and Culture, the present town of Roosevelt was originally planned by Parkersburg Development Company before the opening of the Kiowa, Comanche, and Apache Reservation in 1901. At that time, the town was known as Parkersburg. However, another town by the same name already existed. Thus, the name was changed to Roosevelt by a townsite organizer, Charlie Parker, who had served under Theodore Roosevelt in the Spanish–American War. A post office named Roosevelt was established October 31, 1901.
