Appaloosa Stallion at Stud in Winnie, TX
STANDING FOR 2006 BREEDING SEASON! Lucky's Shadobar will stand to 2 or 3 APPROVED outside mares as a two year old. Price is Neg. This is to put foals on the ground. SHADO is the spitting image of his Grand Sire, "JR'S Shado". Is a real people horse, and is well behaved as a stud. He has been "HERD raised" and is sensible and level headed. Shado will be going to the trainer this fall. He is being started under saddle early. Shado won "High Point Weanling - colt and gelding" in 2004, at the Gulf Coast Paint Horse Association open show series in Winnie, TX. As a yearling, he has been in the herd learning to socialize and be a horse. As a result, he has been to "beat up" to show, lol. . He will be shown in 2006 as a two year old, in open shows in the area.

About Winnie, TX
The town plat was filed in 1895 by the Gulf and Inter-state Railway officials. The town was named after Fox Winnie, a railroad contractor who worked for the line. The Winnie and Loan Improvement Company attempted to market small lots of land, but due to poor sales, the company was dissolved in 1911. In 1941 an oilfield was discovered nearby, leading the way for the oil businessman Glenn H. McCarthy to establish a gas plant just east of the town.
