Paint Mare for Sale in Fredericksburg, VA
Wild Dawn is a two year old, APHA, who is progressing under saddle nicely and quietly. She walks, trots, canters, stops, backs up and you can ride her in either a rope halter or a snaffle bridle and either English or Western Saddle. She really moves out at the trot, has a lovely canter, and is a very pretty mover already. She is a very, very sweet, smart young lady with a lovely disposition. She is very willing, learns quickly and absolutely adores kind attention from people. She is also good for the farrier. Dawn also trailers well, loads easily and has very good ground manners. Dawn is priced at $2950 and has been trained using natural horsemanship principles and techniques. Dawn has also been ridden at the walk and trot by a 12 year old young lady
About Fredericksburg, VA
At the time of European encounter, the indigenous inhabitants of the area that became Fredericksburg were a Siouan-speaking tribe called the Manahoac. English colonists recorded the name of the Manahoac village there as Mahaskahod. Siouan tribes occupied much of the area of the Piedmont. The Tidewater areas of the coastal plain had primarily Algonquian-speaking tribes making up the Powhatan Confederacy. Located on the Rappahannock River near the head of navigation at the fall line, Fredericksburg developed as the frontier of colonial Virginia shifted west from the coastal plain into the Piedmont.
