Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Slidell, LA

Tinman is a 16 hand registered quarter horse, born in Kansas where he was used to work the feed lots and cows prior to being moved to Louisiana. He spent about 1 1 / 2 years maintained in a pasture and used for trail riding by a family. We purchased him over a year ago for our 11 year old daughter to show as a hunter / jumper. He has been shown in mini stirrup, short stirrup, and prechild at local schooling shows and has been in the ribbons. Has been schooling 3'3" at home. He has good ground manners, clips, ties, bathes, loads on and off trailer nicely. Sound, all vaccinations and worming up to date, negative Coggins, new shoes and teeth floated recently. Does best with an intermediate / experienced rider.

About Slidell, LA

One of the earlier settlers to the area was Foster Willie. Along with a younger brother, Wesley Coke Asbury Gause, Judge Wingate, and several others, he left Shallotte, North Carolina, on February 18, and arrived at Pearlington, Mississippi, on April 14, 1836. Wesley and his family remained there, while John and family crossed the Pearl River and built a log cabin on the west bank, a little further south. He then began a lumber mill in the fledgling town later known as Slidell. His traveling back and forth from lumber yard to home created a road known today as Gause Boulevard, a major east/west street in the town.
