Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Rogersville, AL

Poco was broke to ride as a two year old, but has been used as a broodmare ever since. She has two fillies that are in roping training and doing well. She is very muscular and athletic. She is registered in the Foundation Quarter Horse Registry and as far as we know is very close if not 100%. She is an easy keeping mare. Stays fat on pasture. She is straight legged and has really good feet, easy to trim. She is bred to Gold Stalker, our Joe Cody bred stallion. He has AQHA points in Working Cow Horse and Reining. He was Team Penning Horse of the Year in Maine during the years of 2001 and 2002. His babies all show a lot of interest in cows. They make wonderful timed event horses also. This is really a good mare and would make a wonderful addition to your home.

About Rogersville, AL

The town became an incorporated municipality on February 2, 1858. Originally known as "Rodgersville", it took its name from Andrew and Patience Rodgers of South Carolina who moved into the area and purchased 79.8 acres (323,000 m 2) at a public land sale in Huntsville on May 3, 1818. Their land eventually became what is now the downtown business district. When the Rogersville Post Office was established on October 4, 1825 with Thomas Cunningham as the postmaster, the 'd' was dropped from the town's name and it has been known as Rogersville ever since. The town became a popular trading center due in part to its location near the intersection of three early thoroughfares, U.S.
