Tennessee Walking Mare for Sale in Peru, IN
This is a 3 year old Tennessee Walker / Spotted Saddle horse. Her mother is a grey twh and her father is a tobiano blk / white roan twh / spotted saddle horse. She is Grey and white roan with white blaze ond other white markings. We have ridden her several times. Excelent gait that is mostly a rack. She has a lot of heart. All she needs is a long trial ride to finish her out. The reason we are selling her is because we do not have the time to work with her as a green broke horse needs. Will make a good trail horse or 4 - H horse.
About Peru, IN
On August 18, 1827, Joseph Holman bought land near the confluence of the Mississinewa and Wabash Rivers from Jean Baptiste "Pechewa" (Wildcat) Drouet de Richardville, the chief of the Miami Indians. The sale was approved on March 3, 1828 by President John Quincy Adams. On March 12, 1829, Holman had the land surveyed and laid out into the town of Miamisport. Peru was founded in 1834 by William N. Hood, who had bought 210 acres of land from Miamisport's founder Joseph Holman five years earlier.
