Miniature Mare for Sale in Lena, WI
Shelby is a beautiful yearling filly. She~s a 31~ tri - color bay pinto who seems to have inherited the sabino gene of her sire (she~s roaning out on her sides) , Fantasy Corrals neon Moon. A very athletic filly with straight legs and big, expressive eyes. Children have worked with her on their makeshift obstacle course and she really seems to enjoy their company. She gets along well with all herdmates and is certainly a joy to watch in the pasture. (AMHR #250449T) Please visit our website: http: / / www. dunpaintedranch. com
About Lena, WI
Originally known as Maple Valley, Lena owes its location to the railroads. The first white family at the site that became Lena was the French-Swiss immigrant Étienne Clement Roserens (also spelled Rosera, 1831–1911) together with his French-Canadian wife Vitaline née Tessier (1842–1919), who established a homestead in October 1872. Their daughter Anna Rosera Hendricks (1874–1951) was the first white child born in the settlement. Other early white settlers in this vicinity arrived in the late 1870s and consisted primarily of French Canadian immigrants. One French Canadian immigrant was Sam Roy, also known as Sam King.
