Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Willis, TX
Reno has been ridden for pleasure and is a great trail horse. He will cross anything on the trail and is a pleasure to ride. He baths, clips, loads, and stands for the farrier. Does not kick, bite, buck or rear. Gets along great with other horses and is a breeze to catch in the pasture. Reno has been training to become my back up mounted patrol horse, though he has not been officially tested yet, I have been working with him. He has crossed bridges, through sprinklers, riding down busy roads, been exposed to umbrellas, pom poms around his face and body, walking over tarps, silly string, ect. If asked he will do it. I have only had him for about 3 months now, I am selling him because I am moving and do not need another patrol horse. Reno has a sweet gentle disposition, for an intermediate rider.

About Willis, TX
Before the founding of Willis, most residents in the area lived in a settlement known as Danville, formed four miles west of present-day New Waverly in the 1830s. A few Danville residents in the 1850s settled south of Danville in what is now Willis. Several of these early Danville residents were large slave plantation owners. About 600 of the estimated 1,000 early Danville residents in the 1850s were slaves. After the Civil War, many recently freed slaves lived in the Willis area, establishing Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church in 1867, the oldest church in Willis.
