Morgan Stallion at Stud in Orofino, ID
King is a proven sire, from a grand champion dam. He is an outstanding example of a Western Working Family Morgan, from the Shawalla line that originated in Montana and Wyoming territory. He is a people - pleaser, kind, calm disposition, and sound mind. A perfect combination of bones, braun, brains and beauty. We raise companion horses who are ready and willing to do anything, and King is the foundation that enables us to do so. Five foals are expected for 2005. Come visit, we'd love to show you around! Our ranch is located in north central Idaho, about halfway between Lewiston and Grangeville just a short distance off Highway 12.
About Orofino, ID
Orofino ( "fine gold" [ore] in Spanish) is a town in and the county seat of Clearwater County, Idaho, along Orofino Creek and the north bank of the Clearwater River. It is the major city within the Nez Perce Indian Reservation. The population was 3,142 at the 2010 census. Nearby is the historical "Canoe Camp," where the Lewis and Clark expedition built five new dugout canoes and embarked on October 7, 1805, downstream to the Pacific Ocean. Some four miles (6 km) north of town is the Dworshak Dam, third-highest dam in the United States, completed in the early 1970s.
