Belgian Warmblood Stallion for Sale in Big Stone Gap, VA
My name is Hammer. I am a 5 year old blonde sorrel Belgian gelding. I was born in Ohio Amish country where I was broke to work. I stand 17. 3 hands high and weigh 1800#. I am currently working on a logging job. My teammate is a big percheron gelding and we work well together. I'm not afraid of a running chainsaw or trees falling nearby and I don't mind working in traffic. I stand quietly to be harnessed and work single or double. I stand where I am stopped without being tied. I have good feet and at shoeing time I stand calmly in the stocks and don't offer to kick or bite the farrier. I will load easily into a trailer. I would make a good farm, logging or work horse as well as a good pet as I am very easy to handle and work with.
About Big Stone Gap, VA
Due to mounting financial burdens caused by a shrinking population and underfunding from the state government, local elected officials voted to consolidate several of the county's schools in 2012, including those in Big Stone Gap. Powell Valley Primary School was formed from the consolidation of the previous primary education school and Appalachia Elementary. A combination of certain grades from Appalachia Elementary and Powell Valley Middle School were combined to form Union Middle School. Finally, Union High School was formed from the consolidation of Appalachia High School and Powell Valley High School. All schools continue to be operated by Wise County Public Schools.
