Thoroughbred Mare for Sale in Chadds Ford, PA

Grandsire is Stakes Winner Rare Performer. Kalypso has been in training for a year now, being taught basics in Dresage, Jumping, Cross Country, and proper behavior. She is learning a lot, but has much more to learn. I will be taking her to her first event on July 10 to try Baby Novice. She is a good jumper, but needs work on keeping her straight to fences. Has had a rough past and needs a home where she can settle and be a horse. Not for beginner! She can get a little hot from time to time, but she is settling down with time. I have jumper her at about 3'3" so far, but I'm sure she can do more. Hasn't refused a fence with me yet. Needs someone who will consistently work with her.

About Chadds Ford, PA

The original name of the township, Birmingham, was given to the territory by William Brinton in remembrance of the town of the same name in England. Frances Chadsey, or Chads, improperly spelled Chadd, emigrated from Wiltshire, England in 1689 and lived in Chichester Township until 1696 when his name first appeared in the Birmingham Township tax records. On September 11, 1777, the house owned by George Gilpin was occupied by General Howe of the British Army during the Battle of Brandywine. The Chad House, Chadds Ford Historic District, Gilpin Homestead and William Painter Farm are all listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
