Icelandic Mare for Sale in Pollock Pines, CA
Kala is friendly and brave. She will be easy to train and pleasant to ride like her parents. Both her sire and dam have a brilliant trot and an extremely smooth tolt as well as an easy canter and an excellent walk. If you are looking for a breeding as well as a riding prospect, and are at all interested in color, this filly has it. Her sire is a true golden palomino with a lot of mane, and her mother is a silver dapple bay. Her grandsire and granddam are respectively blue dun and buckskin. And she has excellent conformation: straight legs, nicely sloping shoulders, and a cute head. Video is available.
About Pollock Pines, CA
One of the original Pony Express stations (Twelve Mile House) was located in Pollock Pines. The location was covered by the restaurant called "Sportsman's Hall". The "Hall", which was originally opened in 1952 by John and James Blair, who had immigrated from Scotland, still operates today. Pollock Pines was primarily a lumber community (the town is named for H.R. Pollock, who operated a lumber mill in the area in the early 1900s).
