Arabian Mare for Sale in Saint James, MO
This mare has a pretty little head, large nostrils & eyes, short back, nice tail carriage. Just weaned a colt and has been bred back to Straight Egyptian stallion for 2005 foal. Has been ultrasounded in foal and vet checked. This mare has been stitched up due to a previous tear during foaling. Will have to be unsewn in May 2005 to deliver foal, then bred back and stitched again. No other health problems, teeth just floated, ready to produce some nice quality foals for someone's breeding program. The SE stallion she's IFT stands for $400. 00. Mare has a good pedigree with a mix of Polish, Egyptian, & Crabbet lines. Lengthy research performed by Arlene Magid on her lineage. Gentle disposition, has been saddled and had 4 year old child on her. Ready to start training for the trails. Current on worming and negative Coggins. ~
About Saint James, MO
The settlement was originally known as Big Prairie because of its location on the natural prairie of that name in the area. In 1859, when a man by the name of John Wood anticipated the extension of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway, the settlement became known for a short time as Scioto, named after the town of Scioto, Ohio, where many of the town's early settlers originated. In 1860, the town was named St. James to honor Thomas James, who came from Ohio and created the Meramec Iron Works.
