Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Marshalltown, IA
Blue Duck (Duckie) is a 7 / 8 yr old cropout paint out of the Scotchman, He is unregistered. He is a friendly horse with a good disposition, he is just lazy and needs someone who has the time to ride him. He was broke to ride by my dad as a 2 year old, He is a little rough on the neck reining, he does ride bareback and stands for farrier. My 14 yr old niece has ridden him occasionally the last couple of years, mainly around pasture, and has ridden him on a couple of trail rides. He is a big ol good boy, just needs someone to put the time into him. He was shown as a yearling by previous owner and won some money in halter classes. I really hate to sell him, but I don't have the resources to put towards him. Price Neg / OBO

About Marshalltown, IA
Henry Anson was the first European settler in what is now called Marshalltown. In April 1851, Anson found what he described as “the prettiest place in Iowa.” On a high point between the Iowa River and Linn Creek, Anson built a log cabin. A plaque at 112 West Main Street marks the site of the cabin. In 1853 Anson named the town Marshall, after Marshall, Michigan, a former residence of his. The town became Marshalltown in 1862 because another Marshall already existed in Henry County, Iowa (In 1880, Marshall's name changed to Wayland).
