Quarter Horse Stallion for Sale in Ada, OK
HANDSOME!!!!Such a sweety!!Mother developed cancer and delivered early, had to be put down, Orphaned at the age of 3 days, bottle raised, loves people and is very willing. Will load, clip, bathe, leads anywhere, ties, and is a good boy for the farrier, introduced to lunging and some tack, doesn't mind the bareback pad. Because of rough start he will be small but has a nice shape and muscle tone and pretty head. Will probably be around 14 hands vet says will grow more when gelded. Nice Mover; Doesn't act like a stud. Isaac Has so much potential and is very mellow, would be great for a small adult or child, He's ready to trian and ready to learn. Should be easy to work with. Must sell because of moving! (no papers) price neg. will consider helping with hauling. MUST GO TO GOOD HOME!
About Ada, OK
In the late 1880s, the Daggs family (by way of Texas) became the first white family to settle what is now known as Ada, which was formerly known as Daggs Prairie. In April 1889, Jeff Reed (a native Texan and relative of the Daggs family) was appointed to carry the mail from Stonewall to Center (which was later combined with Pickett), two small communities in then Indian Territory. With his family and his stock, he sought a place for a home on a prairie midway between the two points, where he constructed a log house and started Reed's Store. Other settlers soon built homes nearby. In 1891, a post office was established and named after Reed's oldest daughter, Ada.
