Thoroughbred Mare for Sale in Macedon, NY
Flag is a big mare with lots of potential to go far. She is turning 4 and has a great work ethic. She is a good mover with a canter that just gets you to the fences. She was horseshown in the Baby Greens and did an excellent job with the junior rider that rode her. (I am pregnant and this is why I am selling my green horses. ) She is currently beginning to be schooled 3 foot and could care less about the height of the jumps. . . and the best part. . . she has a really easy lead change. (just ride straight and turn, she does them for you !) Please call me for an appointment to see her. Chris LaBarge 585-314-8***1. Serious Inquires Only please.

About Macedon, NY
Prior to early settlement, the area in and around Macedon was home to the Seneca Nation, a tribe member in the Iroquois League. The town land was acquired for settlement in 1788 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as part of the Phelps and Gorham Purchase. The first settlers, Webb and Hannah Harwood, arrived in 1789. The construction and completion of the Erie Canal from 1817-1825 brought many new settlers to the area. The town of Macedon was incorporated during the canal construction in 1823, from what had been the western half of the Town of Palmyra.
