Paint Stallion at Stud in Timpson, TX
Peppy San Bars was injured at 10 months of age with a severe spinal injury. Took him over 2 years to recover so he was never started under saddle. His potential in the cuttng pen was wiped out in a matter of seconds. He was able to breed and has sired some awesome foals. He's 14. 2 hands and weighs 1200 lbs. He is pasture bred ONLY. He is gentle with the mares & their foals and loves to "play" with the babies, serving as a great babysitter. He loves women. He has sired many different colors, basically the same color as the mare most of the time. He crosses exceptionally well with the Peppy San Badger / Doc Bar / Leo / King bred mares. Check out Lacy Paints website for a photo of him and of his foals. Breeding only a few outside mares so book early for 2006.
About Timpson, TX
Timpson was founded in 1885 upon the arrival of the Houston, East and West Texas Railway. It reached its maximum population in 1925 when it was important in the shipping of lignite. The town became well known in the 1930s and 40s via the popularity of the Tex Ritter song, 'Tenaha, Timpson, Bobo, and Blair', which refers to the string of towns in Shelby County. Timpson was the birthplace of the fantasy and science-fiction writer Ardath Mayhar.
