American Warmblood Stallion for Sale in Upton, KY
Giant has navicular syndrome but maintains soundness well. The previous owner, a seriously competitive upper level dressage rider and trainer, worked him off and on for many years. He does get sore if the ground gets very hard. I am too busy with other training horses and am only teaching people with their own animals so I do not need a lesson horse. He would need a rider with experience in the beginning to get him back in riding condition; after that, he would do well with most any adult or experienced teen. I wish to LEASE him at a one time fee of 500. Home must be approved and within reasonable driving distance from Upton, Ky. I say lease because I want to ensure that Giant will always have a good home; if you wanted to return him, I would have him come home. He craves attention.

About Upton, KY
Upton was founded in 1841, and was initially known as "Leesville." It was renamed in 1856 in honor of George Washington Upton, who had helped develop the area as a stop along the L&N Railroad. Upton was one of the targets of Confederate John Hunt Morgan during the Civil War. Upton was on the L&N Railroad, one of the key north-south rail roads for the Union. The train station and nearby bridges were attacked during the day on December 26, 1862. The Union forces were quickly defeated and Morgan took advantage of the telegraph station in Upton to gather intelligence on Union troop disposition.
