Paint Mare for Sale in Mounds, OK
High I Osage is a 3 year old, solid sorrel APHA filly. She is broke to ride with about 120 days on her. Before we got her she was used to gather, work, and rope cattle. She is built good, with the right confirmation for a good all around horse, then could be used later as a broodmare. She has Gay Bar King, Uvalde Gay, and Doc's Dee Bar on her papers. She goes back to Three Bars and Doc Bar. She should be a good minded mare and she definitely has some speed on her. Is cold backed and will try to buck if she is not warmed up properly, however, we are working on this.

About Mounds, OK
The post office for this community was established in 1895 and originally named "Posey", for the Creek poet Alexander Posey, who lived in Eufaula, Oklahoma. In 1898, the town was moved 5 miles (8 km) southwest and renamed "Mounds" for twin hills that were nearby. By 1901, the St. Louis, Oklahoma and Southern Railway (later the St. Louis and San Francisco Railway) built a track through Mounds, and the town became an important cattle shipping point.
