Morgan Mare for Sale in Engadine, MI
TaHa is a 22 yr old Morgan Mare She has been a great horse, she has never bucked or kicked and has no bad habits. She is a great trail horse (follower) and has been in parades. The reason I am selling her is because I have too many horses and she is just not fast enough to keep up with my barrel horse. TAha would be a great horse for new riders, or just a backyard pet. In her younger years I was told that she was trained for jumping. I have ridden her Western, English, and Bareback. With her a bridle is optional. If you feel she is the right horse for you please call me ( I don't check my e - mail very often) I also have tack available if you need tack.
About Engadine, MI
Although the first white man may have passed through the Naubinway and Engadine area, perhaps as early as 1640, the area's recorded history did not begin until some 200 years later. The first permanent settlers to the area, the William Boucher family, came from Mackinac Island to trade furs with the Ojibway Indians. They built their first house on the "Point" (near the location of the new Naubinway Marina) and remained until approximately 1857. [ citation needed ] It was not until March 10, 1873, that William Boucher received a deed from the federal government to 27.30 acres (110,500 m 2) of land in Naubinway. His deed was signed by President Ulysses S Grant, and under the provisions of the Public Land Act of 1820, he could have paid as little as $1.25 per acre.
