Paso Fino Mare for Sale in Pekin, IL
This filly is just full of brio which you can plainly see when she is gaiting across the pasture. She holds her head up very proudly like she just knows she is special. Her coloring has darkened since her baby pics were taken. Those pictures can be seen on the Grove Creek Farm website. Please email me for more current pictures. I believe when she sheds out in the spring she will either be a black and white or possibly a tri color. Her father is a black and white homozgous stallion, Pegasus Dos De Estaban from Grove Creek and the mother is a very stocky built grey mare, Ciencia de Mile. This girl sould have some size to her. Please email me with any questions or for pictures. Thank You
About Pekin, IL
In Illinois as elsewhere, indigenous peoples lived along rivers for transportation, water, and fishing. At the time of the European incursion, the several historical tribes in the area were of the Anishinaabe-language family, within the larger Algonquian-speaking tribes. In January 1680, Robert de LaSalle and 33 fellow explorers landed their canoes on the eastern bank of the Illinois River. They built a winter refuge in what is now the southeast quarter of section 1 of Pekin Township. They also encountered historical Kickapoo peoples to the east as far as the Wabash River near the present Illinois-Indiana border.
