Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Derry, NH
"Missy" is a 9 year old dapple grey, registered QH mare. She has excellent bloodlines and has produced two massive foals (both well over 16 hands) . Her gaits are incredibly smooth and she's a 10+ mover! She has been restarted as a hunter pleasure horse and shows much potential for dressage and jumping. She needs finishing work at the canter, but is extremely intelligent, willing and quiet. "Missy" clips, cross ties, stands for vet and farrier, is up - to - date on all shots and deworming. 100% sound. She is also a perfect trail horse - will go alone or with company and through anything you put in her way! Easy keeper - nothing bothers this mare! Respects fences (both electric and wood) and has perfect ground manners! She'd make a great show or family horse or a nice sound mare for breeding! Serious inquiries only. E - mail or call for more information.
About Derry, NH
Although it was first settled by Scots-Irish families in 1719, Derry was not incorporated until 1827. It was originally a part of Londonderry, as were Windham and portions of Manchester, Salem and Hudson. The town was named after the city of Derry in Ireland, the Irish word Doire meaning "oak grove.” The first potato planted in the United States was sown in Derry in the town’s common field in 1719. The town is the location of two of America's oldest private schools, Pinkerton Academy, founded in 1814 and still in operation, and the closed Adams Female Seminary. Derry was once a linen and leather-making center until New England textile industries moved south in the 20th century.
