Friesian Mare for Sale in Lancaster, PA
Aurora is the Barbie dream horse we all wanted as a child, and the horse we crave and appreciate as an adult…a Friesian/Quarter horse with the most amazing Grulla markings.
She’s mare that needs no introduction when she steps into your presence. You can’t help but stare.
At 6, Aurora walks, trots, and canters with a large, uphill movement and stands a sturdy 15.3 hands. Aurora loves to trail ride also! Cars, water, cattle, dogs, goats, kids, ducks, mowers, dirt bikes, and horse crazy girls don’t bother her one bit!
She’s versatile, willing, kind, and intelligent. Really just proof you can have your cake and eat it too.
Not only does she ride but she also drives, for those who would like a horse to do more than just ride!
With no bad habits or vices she is easy to live with and a pleasure to have in the barn.
Aurora would love a home where she can be absolutely pampered and groomed! She’ll stand all day long for a good grooming as well as being tacked.
In the pasture she’s easy to catch and gets along well with others. Aurora does stall, but likes to be outside best if she can be.
She’ll pop in a trailer, picks up all four feet, and easy to lead on the ground.
I say Aurora is our “war horse” because when she canters it looks like she could go into battle! I could watch it all day!
Aurora is currently shod but can be barefoot.
About Lancaster, PA
Originally called Hickory Town, the city was renamed after the English city of Lancaster by native John Wright. Its symbol, the red rose, is from the House of Lancaster. Lancaster was part of the 1681 Penn's Woods Charter of William Penn, and was laid out by James Hamilton in 1734. It was incorporated as a borough in 1742 and incorporated as a city in 1818. During the American Revolution, Lancaster was the capital of the United States for one day, on September 27, 1777, after the Continental Congress fled Philadelphia, which had been captured by the British.
