Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Fort Collins, CO

Austin is a beautiful dapple grey and white paint mare. She is a 16hh, Percheron/quarter horse cross. She is between 5 and 6 years old and was started late to allow her to mature and grow. She has good bones and goes barefoot without issues. She has a quiet personality and loves attention. Beautiful long mane and tail. She leads, loads, and baths. Stands tied. Has had extensive ground training and 4 months of saddle training, the most recent being English riding. Rides western and English. She has jumped cross rails, and with some more practice, she would be fantastic at it. She has the smoothest trot and canter. Listens to leg and a decent seat stop. She had been hand-led down busy trails and did great with bikes, people, dogs, and kids. She is still green in areas but has the potential to go in any direction! She requires consistency or she loses focus. UTD on vaccines, de-worming, and farrier. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 4/16 @ 4:00 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Fort Collins, CO

Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
