Donovan is a 9-year-old, 17-hand Dutch Harness Horse gelding. He is an absolutely bomb-proof, beginner-safe trail horse but so much more. He rides both English and Western with the elegance and grace typical of a Dutch Harness Horse. Donovan is truly stunning. He is more “whoa” than “go,” but will willingly walk, trot, canter, and even pop over small jumps. I would consider him an all-around horse, as he can excel in various English and Western disciplines and climb his way to the top. Donovan is gentle, extremely smart, and incredibly easy to get along with. He is soft in the mouth, easy to handle under saddle, and cooperative with everyday tasks. He is not jumpy, jittery, or prone to any of the undesirable ground manners you want to avoid in a horse. He lives peacefully in a mixed herd and comes into the barn with no bad habits. However, he can also live out 24/7. Dutch Harness Horses like Donovan are rare, and finding one with his temperament and versatility is even rarer. We can help arrange shipping. Please call us to schedule an appointment to meet him. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!
