He has a great mind, a solid work ethic, and a kind disposition. He stands at a strong 16 hands tall. Maverick is easy to care for he loves to eat, is easy to shoe, and stands calmly for baths, haircuts, and the farrier. He loads onto the trailer effortlessly and is always ready for the next adventure. I’ve had the pleasure of riding and working with Maverick for the past year and a half, taking him from the wooded trails of Middle Tennessee to field trials on some of Alabama’s finest plantations including Shenandoah Plantation, Conecuh Station, Panther Creek, and the Pat O’Neal Field Trial Grounds. He has experienced it all—water, rocks, dogs, gunshots (both in the saddle and off his back), bridges, kids, ATVs, and passing traffic—none of it fazes him. He even ground ties. Maverick has three smooth gaits: a comfortable trail walk (slow walk), a flat walk (fast walk), and he also lopes. I know there are many horses on the market, but Maverick has been my personal horse. With the field trial season wrapping up and younger horses needing work on our farm, I’ve decided to offer him at public auction.
