Spotted Saddle Mare for Sale in Princeton, WV
Valentine has been with us for two years. Val has been a favorite to everyone who has had the opportunity to ride her. Val is a beautiful overo who gets all the compliments on the trails and at the shows. We have spent most weekends camping and trail riding with her, and most of the time, we tie out on picket lines; Val is great with this. There is no mountain too steep or water too deep; you ask her to go, and she goes with no hesitation. Val has been successfully shown at the fair and several other shows by my 10-year-old niece. Throughout the two years with us, she has willingly done everything we have asked of her. This mare has the smoothest natural gait you could ask of any horse. Valentine loves to be out and is super easy to catch, when it’s feeding time we open the pasture gait and she goes into the barn to her stall. The woods, the roads, traffic, dogs, nothing bothers her. Valentine stands 15 hands tall, has a good mind, is super willing, and is beautiful.

About Princeton, WV
In southern West Virginia, in the late 19th century, coal mining and transportation by the emerging technology of the railroads combined to form a new industry. Much of the region's bituminous coal was sent northwest to the Great Lakes, or northeast to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's coal piers at Baltimore, or to the world's greatest ice-free port of Hampton Roads in eastern Virginia. The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway's coal piers were located at Newport News. Across the harbor, the Norfolk and Western Railway's coal piers were located on the Elizabeth River in Norfolk. The eastern-bound coal transported by the C&O and the N&W railroads was highly valued for local use and for steam-powered ships, notably those of the U.S.
