Belgian Draft Mare for Sale in Greensburg, KY

🌼Daisy Mae🌼 Talk about a big-boned draft cross that rides and moves like a quarter horse! Daisy Mae is a 2020 draft cross mare standing 16.1hh. She is an absolute sweetheart and has an in-your-pocket personality. Daisy doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and truly wants to be your best friend. She stands for mounting, saddling, bathing, grooming, farrier, etc. She loads and hauls well. She can be kept out in the field with other horses or in the barn in a box stall. Daisy picks up both her leads with ease and has a true one-step short lope. She is soft in the bridle and works well off leg pressure. She has a soft and easy backup and a nice quick stop. She has been extensively trail-ridden and crosses water, logs, or anything else in her path. Daisy has also been exposed to the arena obstacles and does them all. We have used her for ranch work, such as checking cows and repairing fences. Daisy can work all day and still keep a good attitude. It’s hard to describe how sweet of a gal she truly is! One of the coolest things about Daisy is that she can also be driven. We have used her in buggy and carriage rides. She is not scared of traffic. The Amish raised her, and she has been used in all types of farm machinery. Daisy has excellent ground manners and is not pushy. She is broke to flags, tarps, whips, and you can shoot guns off her! Around our place, she is always the one who gets picked first to do any job. Daisy Mae lives in Greensburg, Ky. Don’t hesitate to call Alex with any questions. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 1/29 @ 3:30 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.

About Greensburg, KY

The 1780 settlement was originally known as "Glover's Station", for local landowner John Glover, who received 193 acres (0.78 km 2) in the area as a military grant after the American Revolution. Following the establishment of Green County (named for Revolutionary War Maj. General Nathanael Greene ) from parts of Lincoln and Nelson counties in 1792, Greensburg was laid out and established two years later as its eponymous seat of government. It was incorporated as a city a year after that. The central Public Square was also laid out in 1795 and has been retained as designed since then, with the only changes being the paving of the square with concrete and the installation of concrete dividers and parking meters in the four quadrants.
