Angus is a 6-year-old, 36-inch gelding that will absolutely melt your heart and make you fall in love with him. He is sweet and gentle and has never met a stranger. Angus is safe for even the youngest babies but rides good enough for the older ones to win money at play days. He is easy to catch, groom, saddle, load, and handle on the ground and on his back. He is always respectful and does not get excited about anything. Our daughter rides him bareback and in just a halter some days. On other days, she has him saddled, bridled, and carrying her rope in one hand. In his video, you can see how laid back and easygoing he is and also how sweet and loving he is. He handles all four feet safely and without any issues. He will stand as long as it takes for a kid to get the saddle up there and cinched down. Angus is really broke and handy in the arena, but he really excels on the trails. He is confident in the lead or will follow along behind and be completely content. He is a “been there-done that” pony with an old soul and is very forgiving of human error. Angus does not have any bad habits and is always fun to play with. He will go with the flow and not make a fuss about anything. If you are looking for the absolute perfect Christmas gift for your young cowboy or cowgirl, Angus is your man. He has the looks and brains all in one cute, chunky little package. Angus is proudly offered by the Bess Pony Collection. For any questions about Angus or to schedule a visit, please call David.
About Antlers, OK
Evidence exists of prehistoric occupation and activity within the city limits of present-day Antlers. Arrowheads are found periodically at sites throughout the town. Most of the prehistoric sites are atop hills, which the inhabitants could use for defensive purposes and found the most healthful. A Mississippian culture settlement developed at Spiro Mounds, which was active from the mid-9th into the 15th century. This is the westernmost site of the culture and it is "one of the most important archeological discoveries in North America." The 80-acre site is preserved today as Oklahoma's only state archeological park.
