Looking for that, been there, and done that horse with many years left to enjoy? If so, Zip may be the horse for you. Zip is a super stocky 15.1hh 12-year-old SSH gelding. We got Zip from an older gentleman in TN. He had owned Zip since he was a 2-year-old and had done about everything imaginable with him. Parades, Trail rides, Camping trips, checking on livestock, you name it, Zip did it. He was his trusty steed. He just knew he could always count on him to handle any situation.
Zip is very friendly and likes people but isn’t pushy either. He is super easy to catch. Handles like a puppy and is easy to groom and clip. Stands tied quietly. Stands great for farrier. Easy to saddle and bridle. Stands still to be mounted from the ground or mounting block. Zip can walk along or be a forward-moving horse; it depends on what you like. He is pretty versatile. Super good gaited true glide ride. His neck reins, backs, and will move off your leg.
Zips is an outstanding trail horse. He will go wherever you point him. He easily crosses all types of water, fallen trees, and slippery rocks. He is great in traffic and around farm equipment. Nothing seems to phase him. We have ridden him a few hundred miles since joining us, and he never spooks.
All I can say is that if you are looking for a big, pretty gelding that’s going to take care of you and be easy on your back, you don’t want to miss out on Zip!! We are located in Mount Vernon, Ky. Please feel free to call or text with any questions or set up a time to come out for a test ride. Thanks for looking!
