Fiona, aka “Barbie,” is an absolutely beautiful, 4-year-old dappled Palomino registered Missouri Foxtrotter. Barbie has almost two full years of training using all the natural horsemanship methods. She has been ridden by kids, beginner riders, senior citizens, and anyone else who can climb and sit on a horse. Barbie is easy to handle in all aspects. She will be the first horse to come up to you in a pasture and let you catch her. She’s easy to load and shoe. She truly has one of the sweetest personalities of any horse we’ve ever had. Rest assured that when you’re riding out on the trails, you’ll be riding one of the group’s prettiest and most gentle horses. You can ride her in the front of the group, in the middle, or the back; it doesn’t matter to her. She is traffic-safe and trail-safe. We have done many different things with Barbie. She rides English, western, and pulls the buggy. She will go anywhere that you ask without any resistance. If you’re someone looking for your next trail riding buddy/companion, Barbie is your girl. TEMPERAMENT: Barbie’s disposition is one of the best. She’s easy to catch and handle in every aspect you can imagine. EXPERIENCE: Barbie has ridden several hundred miles of trails. She went on our yearly trip to Telluride, Colorado, and has been ridden all over the Missouri Ozark Mountains and around our farms in Missouri and Illinois. She rides Western English and bareback and will even pull the buggy. TRAINING: Almost two full years of professional horsemanship training using all-natural horsemanship methods. Barbie is the same horse whether she’s out by herself or with a group. If you’re looking for a beautiful, well-trained horse, call us and make an appointment. About Freeburg, IL

Freeburg lies in the fertile and rolling southern Illinois plains between the Kaskaskia and Mississippi Rivers. It was platted in 1836 as the town of Urbana by immigrants to this area from Virginia around 1800. The first European settlers of Freeburg were of English and Irish ancestry. There were five migratory Indian tribes that crisscrossed each other in Illinois; the Peorias, Cahokias, Kaskaskias, Tamaroas, and Michiganics. It is said that Turkey Hill north of town was a popular Indian campground that also attracted many early settlers because of the view it provided of the surrounding countryside.
