Bo is a stunning 14.3-and-a-half-hand, seven-year-old registered Missouri Foxtrotter (MFTHBA) buckskin gelding who has been a cherished family member since I brought him home as a six-month-old gift for my wife. As you can see in his third video, Bo has been part of countless family moments over the years, including my wedding, camping trips, bonfires, Holiday Parades, and so much more, as you can see in his videos.
With extensive trail-riding experience, Bo has explored beautiful locations like Eminence, MO, Downtown Hot Springs, AR, during a motorcycle rally, Falling Waters, AR, and the historic Wilson Creek Battlefield in Springfield, MO. He thrives in diverse environments, from busy towns to serene trails in the Ozark mountains.
Bo is not just a trail horse; he’s a seasoned partner. He’s confidently pulled a cart through busy streets and fields of cattle while being a gentle companion for our grandkids. His playful spirit shines during holiday parades, where he’s dressed up in costumes and greeted by cheering crowds. He’s even taken our four-year-old grandson on an intertube ride down the river effortlessly. Our Four-Year-Old Grandson has grown up learning to ride on Bo, as seen in the videos. He absolutely loves riding him. Bo enjoys bathing and will load, haul, and unload effortlessly. He has given riding lessons to children of various age groups.
This remarkable gelding is easy to mount and dismount, side passing to whatever you ask him to, whether it be fences or stumps. He stands patiently, waiting for your cue to move forward or back, making him an excellent choice for riders of all ages and skill levels. Ridden by four-year-olds with an adult and young children being supervised to seasoned equestrians in their seventies, Bo is safe, forgiving, and a joy to ride.
With a silky smooth gait you can enjoy all day, riding Bo is an experience you won’t forget. His ability to maintain a leisurely pace alongside non-gaited horses and his gentle rocking chair canter make him the ideal trail partner. Bo is sure-footed, even in rocky terrain, and can easily spin or back up as needed. His low head ensures he stays focused on his rider, creating a strong bond of trust. Bo will also lower his head to be bridled; you can do it one-handed easily.
Bo isn’t just a horse; he’s a cherished family member who has enriched our lives and created countless memories. While it’s difficult to let him go, as a horse trainer, my goal is to prepare these incredible animals for the unexpected, to help them develop the skills they need for various experiences and new adventures, and to ensure their future owners experience the same joy he’s brought to my family.
I believe it’s time for him to find a forever home where he can continue to thrive and create lasting memories with his new owner. He deserves a place where he can share his gentle spirit and exceptional abilities, and I’m confident he will be a beloved companion for whoever welcomes him into their life.
If you’re looking for a reliable trail horse or a companion for your family, I encourage everyone to watch his videos, come visit Bo in Rogersville, MO, and try Bo out while he is listed on our website. My wife and I look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have about Bo.
