Grand’s Happy Go Lucky is an 8-year-old Missouri Fox Trotter with outstanding breeding and is sired by the well-known stud Grand Central. Lucky is a quality, solid, consistent horse that is smart and biddable. And just a nice, sweet boy. Height is 15.0 Lucky’s history includes being in the show ring and winning a 3rd placement at the Missouri Fox Trotter Celebration (see video). I purchased Lucky to run and train dogs off of, but this horse would equally make a solid trail, plantation, hunting, or dog-training horse. I am selling him because I would prefer a taller horse for field trialing. Lucky spent six weeks on the prairie of ND this summer, so he is used to lots of dogs running around, whistles, yelling as trainers sometimes do to bring a dog in, blank pistols/guns going off, and ground ties, which means you can drop the reins, and he stays where you drop the reins. Has a smooth gait. Lucky is a safe horse that adapts to any situation quite easily as shown in the video where a dog trainer is roading a dog in a harness. Travels well and made the trip from Convoy AK to Columbus, ND (1,354.60 miles and 20 hours of driving time) which is 7 miles south of the Canadian border. He gets along with other horses easily and was in a pasture at camp with 12 other unknown horses. Lucky is a great all-around horse that would be a pleasure to have in the stable and has the experience to be a diversified horse that checks many boxes. Plus, he is just a handsome boy!

About Pavo, GA

The community was originally known as McDonald, named after one of two prominent families in the area. However, concerns were raised about misdirected mail, resulting from confusion between McDonald, in the southern part of the state, and McDonough located in the north. The community was then renamed after an early postmaster, Duncan D. Peacock, "Pavo" being the Latin word meaning "peacock". The city celebrates "Peacock Day" on the second Saturday each May.
