Missouri Fox Trotter Gelding for Sale in Cedar, UT

Max is an 8-year-old amber champagne, registered Missouri Fox Trotter gelding with looks and build second to none. Max is the best of both worlds. His build is comparable to that of a quarter horse, but he is very talented in the gait department. His smooth, gaited movement is of high quality in every way, in my opinion. He can perform multiple gaits, which makes him a blast to ride! Because he is multi-gaited, he can cruise along at a variety of speeds. I have ridden so few Missouri Fox Trotters with the gears that he has. He can roll seamlessly from a walk through each of his gaits, and into a lovely lope. His slower gaits range from 4-7 mph, and we have clocked him at over 10 mph in his fastest gear. Max also has one of the best lopes I have ridden. Max was born and raised in Utah. He is no stranger to the mountains. He has been used extensively for trail riding, as well as backcountry trips. He’s led pack strings, been packed on, and spent many nights camping in the woods. He has also been high-lined and hobbled. He has always impressed us with his ability to handle technical terrain and his sure-footedness. He’s been around gunfire, wildlife, cattle, traffic, dogs, heavy equipment, and a myriad of other “scary” things you might expect to encounter on the trail and has handled them all well. We have ridden Max alone, as well as with others, and he has always been happy to lead or follow. Max is what I would consider to be a top-notch trail horse. Max has a unique and brilliant sheen to his champagne coat and even develops dapples on his coat during the summer months. He has a striking amount of contrast between his dark mane, and perfectly colored buttermilk coat. I have never seen another like him! He is built stout with heavy bone, strong and correct conformation, and a gorgeous head. Max has a captivating presence about him. Max has a nice handle on him. He has been taught to side pass, move off your legs, yield his forequarters, yield his hindquarters, stop on your seat, neck rein, back nicely, pick up both leads on cue, etc. I think Max could make a phenomenal gaited dressage prospect. Max is what I picture when I think of a versatile gaited horse. If you are interested in Max, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or to schedule a time to see him - We would love to meet you! **FOR MORE INFO VISIT MyHorseConnection.com OR CALL Kayla: (702) 205-0476**
