Ashby
Ashby is the sweetest pony we’ve had. He has a calm and sweet demeanor, a huge heart, and lots of try.
This pony does not have a bean bone in his body. I have never seen him be anything but calm and quiet!!
Ashby has done a little bit of everything, including trail riding and packing kids around! This horse is THE definition of a babysitter! He has cared for young kids learning to ride in the arena and out on the trail!! He is sweet, steady, and trustworthy. He did a couple of years of 4-H, so he knows Western patterns, lightly knows the gymkhana patterns, excels in the Western pleasure ring, and knows how to set up and trot off for showmanship. He also has the start of flying lead changes and a finished neck rein!
Ashby has also started English and jumping (which he absolutely loves) and has a very cute tuck with a lot of scope! We’ve jumped him up to 3” with lots of room to go higher with consistency.
Ashby’s favorite activity is trail riding. He is always happy on the trails, whether in the mountains or in town. He is used to all kinds of commotion and scary objects! He’s fine with crowds, music, traffic, dogs, kids running around, strollers, bikes, trains, etc. We also take him to the drive-thru to get coffee on the weekends!
Ashby truly is a one-of-a-kind guy.
He stands for the vet and farrier, self-loads and backs out, gets along with all other horses in the pasture (he is at the bottom of the pecking order), and has great ground manners. (He also loves baths and treats… lol!)
Come check this adorable guy out and see how big his personality truly is

About Fort Collins, CO
Fort Collins was founded as a military outpost of the United States Army in 1864. It succeeded a previous encampment, known as Camp Collins, on the Cache La Poudre River, near what is known today as Laporte. Camp Collins was erected during the Indian wars of the mid-1860s to protect the Overland mail route that had been recently relocated through the region. Travelers crossing the county on the Overland Trail would camp there, but a flood destroyed the camp in June 1864. Afterward, the commander of the fort wrote to the commandant of Fort Laramie in southeast Wyoming, Colonel William O.
