Her dam is a HOMOZYGOUS blue roan TWH, her sire is a HOMOZYGOUS spotted MFT. Therefore, if you choose to breed Callie, she’ds going to throw either a tobiano or a blue roan foal. She loves playing mom and has been ponying a yearling for the last six months. The reason she is for sale is her owners are a bit too large for her to carry. She is 14.3, stocky, and wants to please. Callie has hundreds of trail miles, and wasn’t started til she was 3. She’s been all over Rustic Sky in Melder, Louisiana; 400 miles in 2 months. Also ridden on the beautiful and challenging trails in the Big South Fork in TN. OMG, she love, loves water, and OBSTACLE COURSES. She’s super curious, and learns very quickly! Has carried a flag, had a 9mm gun shot off of her, carried a feed sack and picked up garbage, had grandkids on her. Did I tell you she is a love bug? Truly! No bite, kick, rear; gets along well with other horses. Good leading the pack, middle or last. I did have her in a ride with 75 riders. Great feet, good for farrier. UTD on shots, wormed, no health issues, just had teeth floated. She likes to walk, more whoa than go, but not stubborn. Cute little canter. A pretty solid girl who needs her own smaller rider! About Sneedville, TN

European-American settlement began in the 1790s, following the American Revolutionary War, as migrants moved into the area from the Piedmont frontiers of Virginia and North Carolina. Such migrants had formed families in colonial Virginia. Among them was a multi-racial group of settlers who became known as Melungeon. They have been documented as having primarily European, Portuguese and sub-Saharan African ancestry. They also have a lesser amount of Native American heritage.
